The eye-catching shopping bag alone was a show stopper as it garnered envious looks from well-heeled young women as it traveled in my possession in the subway to the locale of Bonnie's birthday gathering. Gawkers must have been wondering what fabulous luxury items this guy was carrying in his gleaming yellow bag ... just a little thrift store bag hooched up to the max awaiting one of sweet Bonnie's bad-girl moments.
In May 2009, Clarkson Potter will publish my book, The Find: The Housing Works Book of Decorating with Thrift Shop Treasures, Flea Market Objects, and Vintage Details. Pre-order now on www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com.

Got bored at work and with all of the media turnover, I decided to Google see what my old bosses at Maxim were up to and stumbled upon this blog post...(I was Bonnie's and your intern in the fall of 2006)...this bag is absolutely gorgeous, and the little stuffings are positively inspired--I may have to "borrow" this idea in the future! Can't wait to buy your book when it comes out and see what other stunning bits and pieces you've discovered over the years! Warmest regards and best of luck with the new book...Dahlia
